AS Miles

On 19 September 2024, AS Miles Consulting had the pleasure of exhibiting at the CPT Compliance Evening held at the Belton Woods Hotel in Grantham. The event brought together key industry figures and transport professionals to discuss the latest developments in compliance and regulatory standards.

The evening was hosted by the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) and featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including:

Mr. Richard Turfitt, Traffic Commissioner for the East of England, who shared valuable insights on compliance challenges and best practices for operators in the region.

Mr. James Backhouse, of Backhouse Jones, who provided a legal perspective on regulatory compliance and the implications for businesses.

Mr. Gavin Miller, CPT Operations Manager, who discussed the importance of ongoing compliance for passenger transport operators.

Mr. James Fordham, Enforcement Commercial Delivery Team Leader at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), who highlighted current enforcement priorities and the role of the DVSA in supporting compliant operations.

The event, attended exclusively by CPT members, offered a unique opportunity for transport professionals to engage with experts, ask questions, and gain deeper understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape. Participants were encouraged to bring additional staff members, reinforcing the value of such events in supporting Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

As exhibitors, AS Miles Consulting was proud to support this important event and engage with attendees on how we can help their operations achieve and maintain high standards of compliance and safety. Our team had the opportunity to discuss our comprehensive consultancy services, which include auditing, training, and system implementation tailored to the specific needs of each business.

We believe that events like the CPT Compliance Evening are vital for fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the industry. Our team remains committed to supporting operators in their efforts to build safer, more compliant, and profitable businesses.

Thank you to the CPT for organizing such a successful event and to all the attendees for their participation and engagement. We look forward to continuing our work together to ensure the highest standards in the transport industry.

Be Safe, Compliant & Profitable.
