OPERATOR LICENSING UNDERTAKINGS

This month we look at the undetaking that “Vehicles and trailers, including hired vehicles and trailers, are kept in a fit and serviceable condition”.

You may say that this is no problem for us, we have our PMI checked at the agreed service intervals! Are your vehicles also serviced as per the manufacturers service intervals? Do you use genuine parts? Do you know what parts are used by your service provider? A badly serviced vehicle or the fitting of non genuine parts could affect the vehicle emissions.

Please remember that all new and hired vehicles/trailers should undergo a pre use PMI before they are first used. This should include an RBT.
